WordPress Hosting Cost 2026
By Keith, Editor · Updated October 6, 2026
WordPress hosting cost, on this page, is the real bill: the intro rate, the prepay that unlocks it, and the renewal after that term. On the public WordPress pages checked October 6, 2026, intro stickers run from $2.95/mo to $14.99/mo. Renewals on those same pages run from $9.99/mo to $30.95/mo. An intro sticker is the monthly slice of a prepaid term, not a month-to-month price.
The order is the lowest multi-year cost for a solid WordPress plan. Commission does not set it. Hostinger Premium and Unlimited are first if you can prepay 48 months (editorial 4.5). Bluehost Starter and Business are second (editorial 4.0). Starter has the lowest renewal in the group, at $9.99/mo, and phone support is on Business. GreenGeeks Lite and Pro are third and unscored. The 12-month prepay is the smallest check, and the renewal is higher. SiteGround is an honorable mention for readers who already want its WordPress tooling. This page does not crown GreenGeeks or SiteGround on the hub.
Every dollar below is a price on a public page, or that price multiplied by the term. There is no uptime test, load-time test, or cost survey on this page. The general 12–24 month bill is affordable web hosting. Reliable cheap starters are cheap web hosting. The use-case ranking is best WordPress hosting. The speed stack is fastest WordPress hosting. The scored write-up is the Hostinger review. The unscored cPanel write-up is the GreenGeeks review. The two-host matchup is Bluehost vs Hostinger.
Quick picks

What each WordPress plan costs
Shared-style tiles checked October 6, 2026 are GreenGeeks Lite, Pro, and Premium, Hostinger Premium and Unlimited, and Bluehost Starter and Business. Intros on that set run from $2.95 to $8.95. Hostinger Cloud Startup is the cloud tile, at $7.99/mo intro and $25.99/mo renewal. Bluehost eCommerce Essentials, still on the WordPress page, is $14.99/mo intro and $21.99/mo renewal. These pages are the WordPress products those vendors sell. This page does not add a second managed-WordPress price on top of the tiles.
Checkout is the intro monthly price times the term. Hostinger’s page states the upfront totals, and they match that math: Premium $2.99 × 48 = $143.52, Unlimited $3.99 × 48 = $191.52, Cloud Startup $7.99 × 48 = $383.52. Bluehost and GreenGeeks upfront figures below are the same multiplication. “12 mo at renewal” is the renewal times 12. It starts after the intro term, not in month 13, unless the term was 12 months.
| Plan | Intro | Term | Upfront | Renewal / mo | 12 mo at renewal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hostinger Premium | $2.99/mo | 48 months | $143.52 | $10.99/mo | $131.88 |
| Hostinger Unlimited | $3.99/mo | 48 months | $191.52 | $16.99/mo | $203.88 |
| Hostinger Cloud Startup | $7.99/mo | 48 months | $383.52 | $25.99/mo | $311.88 |

GoGeek’s intro term length is not in the September 23, 2026 stamp, so its upfront cell stays blank. The renewal cell is the logged $44.99/mo, and 12 months at that rate is $539.88. No promo codes. A shorter Hostinger or Bluehost term is a different rate, and this page does not invent one.
First year vs year two
Year 1 in this table is 12 times the intro. It is a slice of the service, not a second charge on top of checkout. Add checkout and year 1 together and you will double-count the first year. Year 2 stays on the intro when the term is 36 or 48 months. Year 2 becomes the renewal only when the intro was 12 months. The renewal-year column is 12 times the renewal, and it starts the month after the intro ends.
- Hostinger Premium: $2.99 × 48 = $143.52 at checkout. Year 1 and year 2 are each $2.99 × 12 = $35.88, already inside that prepay. After month 48, $10.99 × 12 = $131.88.
- Bluehost Starter: $3.99 × 36 = $143.64 at checkout. Year 1 and year 2 are each $3.99 × 12 = $47.88. After month 36, $9.99 × 12 = $119.88.
- GreenGeeks Lite: $2.95 × 12 = $35.40 at checkout, and that payment is year 1. Year 2 is $13.95 × 12 = $167.40.
Keeping the site for 48 months, which is Hostinger Premium’s published term, is the comparison behind the order. Premium stays on the intro the whole way: $143.52. Unlimited’s whole prepay is $191.52, and a renewal year after that is $203.88. Starter is $143.64 for 36 months plus $9.99 × 12 months = $119.88, together $263.52. Business over the same 48 months is $251.64 plus $13.99 × 12 months, together $419.52. Lite is $35.40 plus $13.95 × 36 months = $502.20, together $537.60. Premium and Unlimited both land under Starter on that horizon. Lite’s checkout is the smallest, and the 48-month total is the largest of the three headline plans.
| Plan | Checkout | Year 1 | Year 2 | Renewal year | Why year 2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hostinger Premium | $143.52 | $35.88 | $35.88 | $131.88 | Still the intro. The 48-month term covers year 2. |
| Hostinger Unlimited | $191.52 | $47.88 | $47.88 | $203.88 | Still the intro. The 48-month term covers year 2. |
| Hostinger Cloud Startup | $383.52 | $95.88 | $95.88 | $311.88 | Still the intro. The 48-month term covers year 2. |
| Bluehost Starter | $143.64 | $47.88 | $47.88 | $119.88 | Still the intro. The 36-month term covers year 2. |
| Bluehost Business | $251.64 | $83.88 | $83.88 | $167.88 | Still the intro. The 36-month term covers year 2. |
| Bluehost eCommerce Essentials | $539.64 | $179.88 | $179.88 | $263.88 | Still the intro. The 36-month term covers year 2. |
| GreenGeeks Lite | $35.40 | $35.40 | $167.40 | $167.40 | The renewal. The intro term was 12 months. |
| GreenGeeks Pro | $59.40 | $59.40 | $227.40 | $227.40 | The renewal. The intro term was 12 months. |
| GreenGeeks Premium | $107.40 | $107.40 | $371.40 | $371.40 | The renewal. The intro term was 12 months. |
| SiteGround StartUp (September 23, 2026) | $35.88 | $35.88 | $215.88 | $215.88 | The renewal. The intro term was 12 months. |
| SiteGround GrowBig (September 23, 2026) | $59.88 | $59.88 | $359.88 | $359.88 | The renewal. The intro term was 12 months. |
SiteGround StartUp’s year two on that stamp is $215.88, from $2.99 × 12 = $35.88 at checkout. GrowBig’s year two is $359.88, from a checkout of $59.88. A 48-month stay on StartUp is $683.52. That renewal is why SiteGround is not in the top three.
What the hosting price leaves out
The tables above are the hosting bill. A WordPress site can add a domain, mail, and paid themes or plugins. This section prices only the lines the pages actually logged.
Domain after year one
Hostinger and Bluehost list a free domain for one year. GreenGeeks’ WordPress page lists a free domain for the first year, together with migration and setup. After that year the domain is its own bill. This page does not have a verified domain renewal price, so it will not guess one. The hosting totals above do not include a domain after year one.
Bluehost’s WordPress page, checked October 6, 2026, lists Pro Email as a free trial, then $2.99/mo. The page does not log how long the trial lasts, so this cost page will not drop that $2.99 into month 1 or month 13 as if the start date were known. Twelve months at the post-trial rate is $2.99 × 12 = $35.88, once the trial has ended, on top of hosting. Best web hosting with email quotes $2.50/mo from Bluehost’s shared page on October 4, 2026. This cost page uses the WordPress-page figure, $2.99/mo.
The October 6, 2026 Hostinger WordPress check did not log a mailbox fee. The pricing compare table confirmed October 4, 2026 lists 2 mailboxes per website on Premium, free for 1 year, and unlimited mailboxes per website on Unlimited and Cloud Startup, free for the same year. That note does not list a fee after the free year. This page does not invent one. The same October 6, 2026 check did not log a GreenGeeks mailbox price.
Backups and SSL
SSL is included. It is not a separate line in these prices. Hostinger Premium lists weekly backups. Unlimited lists daily backups. Cloud Startup lists daily and on-demand backups. The Bluehost WordPress tiles list weekly backups. The GreenGeeks WordPress check on October 6, 2026 logged the three prices, the 12-month prepay, the first-year domain, and a 30-day money-back. It did not log a backup frequency, so this page will not fill one in.
Premium themes and plugins
A premium theme or a paid plugin is a separate bill from hosting. This page does not quote a theme price or a plugin price. Budget for the ones you already know you will buy, then add that number to the hosting total yourself.
1. Hostinger Premium and Unlimited
Hostinger is the cost pick if you can pay 48 months up front and you expect to keep the site. Editorial score 4.5, the same score as the Hostinger review. On the WordPress page checked October 6, 2026, Premium is $2.99/mo ($143.52 for 48 months) and renews at $10.99/mo. The tile lists 3 sites, 20 GB SSD, weekly backups, and a CDN. A free domain covers one year. The money-back window is 30 days.
Unlimited is the same term and the step up in disk: $3.99/mo ($191.52 up front), then $16.99/mo, with 50 GB NVMe, daily backups, and CDN included. The plan record in this repo lists Unlimited* sites and a fair-use note. The October 6, 2026 check logged the price, the disk, daily backups, and the CDN. A renewal year is $203.88. The 48-month prepay of $191.52 is still under Bluehost Starter’s $263.52 stay, so both Premium and Unlimited belong in the first slot. The button says See Hostinger plans and opens the public pricing page.
Cloud Startup is the cloud tile, not the first buy. It is $7.99/mo for 48 months ($383.52), then $25.99/mo, with 100 GB NVMe and daily plus on-demand backups. Use it when the site has outgrown the shared tile. A first WordPress site does not need it to get the $2.99 or $3.99 intro. The panel is hPanel. The head-to-head on panel and phone is Bluehost vs Hostinger.

See Hostinger plans2. Bluehost Starter and Business
Bluehost is second because Starter’s renewal is the lowest in the group, and because Business is the phone plan. Editorial score 4.0. On the WordPress page checked October 6, 2026, Starter is $3.99/mo for 36 months ($143.64), then $9.99/mo. The tile lists 10 sites, 10 GB NVMe, and weekly backups. Phone support is not on Starter. A renewal year is $119.88. Over 48 months the stay is $263.52, which is more than Hostinger Premium’s $143.52 and more than Unlimited’s $191.52.
Business is the phone tile: $6.99/mo for 36 months ($251.64), then $13.99/mo, with 50 sites, 50 GB NVMe, and weekly backups. A year at the intro is $83.88. A renewal year is $167.88. The 48-month stay is $419.52. Buy Business when the phone line is why you picked Bluehost. Buy Starter when $9.99/mo after 36 months is the number you came for.
eCommerce Essentials stays the commerce tile: $14.99/mo for 36 months ($539.64), then $21.99/mo, with 100 sites and 100 GB NVMe. It is the top intro on the WordPress page checked October 6, 2026. It is not the cost pick. A store should also read web hosting for ecommerce. The free domain is one year. Pro Email is a free trial, then $2.99/mo. The 30-day money-back is hosting only, and the domain fee is deducted if you refund.
Affiliate link: we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Rankings stay independent.
See Bluehost pricing3. GreenGeeks Lite and Pro
GreenGeeks is third because the prepay is 12 months, so the check is the smallest, and because the renewal is higher than Hostinger or Bluehost Starter. This page does not score GreenGeeks, and it does not put GreenGeeks first on the hub. The write-up is the GreenGeeks review. Re-checked October 6, 2026, the WordPress prices match October 1, 2026: Lite is $2.95/mo ($35.40 for 12 months) and renews at $13.95/mo. Year two is $167.40. The 48-month stay is $537.60.
The October 1, 2026 pricing table, whose dollars still match, lists Lite as 1 Website and 25 GB. One website is the wrong box if the domain and a second install need to live together. Pro is $4.95/mo ($59.40), then $18.95/mo, with Unlimited Websites and 50 GB. Year one at the intro is $59.40. Year two is $227.40. Premium is $8.95/mo ($107.40), then $30.95/mo, and a renewal year is $371.40. That is the top of the renewal band on the WordPress pages checked October 6, 2026. It is the wrong tile if the job is keeping the bill down.
The WordPress page lists a free domain for the first year, with migration and setup, and a 30-day money-back. Choose Lite or Pro when you will not prepay 48 months and you have already priced the renewal. A live GreenGeeks hop does not move this host above Hostinger or Bluehost.
Affiliate link: we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Rankings stay independent.
See GreenGeeks pricingHonorable mention: SiteGround
SiteGround is here for readers who want its WordPress tooling and have already accepted the renewal. It is not a fourth ranked winner. This page does not score SiteGround and does not crown it on the hub. The dollars are the September 23, 2026 stamp. This page did not load a fresh SiteGround price. A bot challenge blocks that fetch. No new SiteGround dollar was added.
StartUp is $2.99/mo for 12 months ($35.88), then $17.99/mo. Year one is $35.88. Year two is $215.88. The plan lists 1 site and 10 GB. GrowBig is $4.99/mo for 12 months ($59.88), then $29.99/mo, and year two is $359.88. The logged note lists staging, on-demand backups, and faster PHP as GrowBig extras. GoGeek stays price-only: $7.99/mo intro and $44.99/mo renewal, with no term length and no feature grid in that stamp.
The catch is the renewal. $17.99/mo after 12 months is above Hostinger Premium, Hostinger Unlimited, and Bluehost Starter. A 48-month stay on StartUp is $683.52. Quote SiteGround when the tooling is the reason. Skip it when you came here for the lower multi-year bill.

The prepay is the discount
The monthly intro exists because the cart charges the term up front. Hostinger’s $2.99 sticker is $143.52 on the page checked October 6, 2026. Bluehost’s $3.99 sticker is $143.64. GreenGeeks’ $2.95 sticker is $35.40. If the site might be gone in a year, the 12-month check is the one that matches that plan. Lite is $35.40. StartUp, on the September 23, 2026 stamp, is $35.88. The advertised Hostinger and Bluehost rates on this page still ask for the long prepay. This page does not have a 12-month Hostinger rate or a 12-month Bluehost rate.
Mark the month the renewal starts
Hostinger’s renewal starts after month 48. Premium moves from $2.99/mo to $10.99/mo. Unlimited moves to $16.99/mo. Bluehost’s renewal starts after month 36. Starter moves to $9.99/mo. Business moves to $13.99/mo. GreenGeeks renews after month 12. Lite moves to $13.95/mo. Pro moves to $18.95/mo. Put that month on a calendar before you treat the intro as the ongoing price. The affordable hosting guide prices a 12–24 month stay for hosting in general. This page is the WordPress term, including the years the long intro still covers.
Use the 30-day window
Hostinger, Bluehost, and GreenGeeks each list a 30-day money-back on the WordPress pages checked October 6, 2026. Bluehost’s refund is hosting only, and the domain fee is deducted if you refund. Hostinger and GreenGeeks list 30 days on those pages. This page does not add exclusions they did not print, and it did not file a refund. Read the cart, install WordPress inside the window, and leave then if the panel or the bill is wrong. This page does not state a SiteGround refund window, because that fetch was blocked.
Move up a tier when the plan is full
Premium is 3 sites and 20 GB SSD. Unlimited is 50 GB NVMe. Cloud Startup is 100 GB NVMe at $7.99/mo intro and $25.99/mo renewal. Starter is 10 sites and 10 GB NVMe, without phone. Business is 50 sites, 50 GB NVMe, and phone. On the October 1, 2026 pricing table, Lite is 1 Website and 25 GB, and Pro is Unlimited Websites and 50 GB. Move up when the site count or the disk is the limit you have already hit. A badge that says managed is not, by itself, a reason to pay the next renewal. The speed reasons to pick a richer tile are on fastest WordPress hosting. The budget, tooling, and phone split is on best WordPress hosting.
See Hostinger plans opens the public pricing page, where Premium’s $2.99/mo figure is $143.52 divided by 48. It is the advertised term, and it is not a commission deal.

WordPress hosting cost FAQ
How much does WordPress hosting cost in 2026?
On the WordPress pages checked October 6, 2026, intros run from $2.95/mo (GreenGeeks Lite, 12 months prepaid) to $14.99/mo (Bluehost eCommerce Essentials, 36 months prepaid). Renewals run from $9.99/mo to $30.95/mo. Hostinger Premium is $2.99/mo for 48 months ($143.52 up front) and renews at $10.99/mo. SiteGround uses the September 23, 2026 stamp and sits outside that band. The hub stays Best Web Hosting 2026.
What do you pay up front for the advertised WordPress price?
Hostinger’s advertised rate is 48 months up front: Premium $143.52, Unlimited $191.52, Cloud Startup $383.52. Bluehost’s is 36 months: Starter $143.64, Business $251.64, eCommerce Essentials $539.64. GreenGeeks is 12 months: Lite $35.40, Pro $59.40, Premium $107.40. This page does not invent a shorter-term Hostinger or Bluehost rate.
What does WordPress hosting cost in year two?
Hostinger Premium’s year two is still $35.88, because the 48-month term covers it. Bluehost Starter’s year two is still $47.88. GreenGeeks Lite’s year two is the renewal, $167.40. SiteGround StartUp, stamped September 23, 2026, is $35.88 then $215.88. The renewal year for Premium starts after month 48 and is $131.88.
Which WordPress host costs the least over 48 months?
Hostinger Premium, at $143.52. Bluehost Starter over the same 48 months is $263.52. GreenGeeks Lite is $537.60. Unlimited’s prepay of $191.52 is still under Starter. Scores stay 4.5 and 4.0. GreenGeeks stays unscored. The use-case sibling is best WordPress hosting.
Does WordPress hosting include a domain, email, backups, and SSL?
SSL is included. The domain is free for year one on Hostinger, Bluehost, and GreenGeeks, and this page has no verified price after that. Bluehost Pro Email is a free trial, then $2.99/mo ($35.88 for 12 months once the trial ends). Hostinger’s mailbox note is the October 4, 2026 pricing table, not a fee logged on the October 6, 2026 WordPress page. The email guide is best web hosting with email.
